Calabro Burrata con Tartufo is an artisanal twist on the classic burrata cheese. In this specialty product, a tender, delicate mozzarella pouch is filled with a lush, creamy mixture of hand-pulled mozzarella strands and rich stracciatella that’s been infused with imported Italian black summer truffle. This infusion imparts an earthy, luxurious truffle note, elevating the traditional flavor of burrata into something both indulgent and sophisticated.
Calabro's story begins in the mountains of Sicily, where the Calabro family turned fresh milk into their signature cheeses. In 1948, they left Sicily to start new lives in America. By 1953, the family had founded the Calabro brand, delivering cheese, sausage, and ice cream to Italian grocers and families in Connecticut. Today, Calabro has grown their operations, distributing their cheeses to 27 states in the US.
