Jumi Chili Raclette is a bold and flavorful variation of the classic Swiss raclette cheese. Made by Jumi, an artisanal cheese producer in Switzerland, this version incorporates hot chili rings into the cheese, giving it a spicy kick that complements its creamy and melty texture.
Jumi Cheese was founded in 2006 by Mike Glauser and Jürg Wyss, drawing on a rich tradition of cheesemaking that dates back to 1896 in the Emmental Valley, Switzerland, where the Glauser family has been crafting cheese for five generations. For 85 years, from 1914-1999, the family was only allowed to produce Emmental cheese due to strict regulations set forth by the Schweizer Käseunion (Swiss Cheese Union). However, with the dissolution of the union in 1999, the Glauser's expanded their cheesemaking portfolio to include unique cheeses that are crafted using traditional Swiss methods, with a focus on quality and distinctive flavors.
