I Siciliani produces authentic and traditional cheeses, following the centuries-old experience of our shepherds. Their Primosale cheese is made on the island of Sicily– primosale, meaning “first salt.” Primosale is an artisanal sheep’s milk cheese with a much shorter maturation period than most sheep’s milk cheeses, resulting in a delicate flavor and softer, creamier texture.
Biopek was founded by Giuseppe (Pippo) Messina. A genuine story that has its roots in a small artisan workshop in Gibellina, a small town in the Belice Valley in the province of Trapani, where pecorino cheeses purchased from local producers were aged and packaged.
