Our handmade Burrata di Bufala is made every day from fresh Buffalo milk. This artisan ball is stretched into a delicate veiled shell and filled with stracciatella (hand pulled strands of Buffalo mozzarella) and sweet Buffalo cream. It is tied with a string to embody this ambrosial delicacy.
Calabro's story begins in the mountains of Sicily, where the Calabro family turned fresh milk into their signature cheeses. In 1948, they left Sicily to start new lives in America. By 1953, the family had founded the Calabro brand, delivering cheese, sausage, and ice cream to Italian grocers and families in Connecticut. Today, Calabro has grown their operations, distributing their cheeses to 27 states in the US.
