A fresh artisan style Italian delicacy. Made from cow’s milk and specially prepared cultured cream. It has a unique rich buttery flavor. The outer shell is a thin veil of hand stretched and formed Fior di Latte that embraces a sack of hand pulled strands of fresh mozzarella and cultured cream. The form (sack) is tied at the head and packed in water with a touch of salt.

Calabro's story begins in the mountains of Sicily, where the Calabro family turned fresh milk into their signature cheeses. In 1948, they left Sicily to start new lives in America. By 1953, the family had founded the Calabro brand, delivering cheese, sausage, and ice cream to Italian grocers and families in Connecticut. Today, Calabro has grown their operations, distributing their cheeses to 27 states in the US.
