A creamy layer of cow cheese coming from the milk of the MRIJ (Meuse / Rhine and IJssel) race and a soft layer of goat cheese made of the milk of the Saanen race, nicely divided by a subtle layer of the ashes of burnt grape leaves. The cows and goats find their home in the Gelderse Vallei. The creamy cow cheese and the soft goat cheese are responsible for this surprisingly good combination and the delicate flavor.
The cheeses of Meester-Affineurs are made in the small-scale cheese factory of Hollandsche Meester's in Rhenen. This cheese factory is equipped to make cheese in a traditional way. Because the linked dairy farmers are small-scale, only small amounts of milk are processed at a time. The milk collected must be processed with the utmost precision. Because they work with untreated milk, the production risk is also a lot greater. It is important that work is 100% precise and clean. In short: precision & perfection!
