Calabro Burratina is essentially a miniature version of the classic Calabro Burrata, designed to offer those same luxurious flavors in a more bite-sized package. Crafted using the same artisanal techniques, it features a delicate outer shell of fresh mozzarella that encases a cream-filled center of stracciatella—a blend of hand-pulled mozzarella and fresh cultured cream.
Calabro's story begins in the mountains of Sicily, where the Calabro family turned fresh milk into their signature cheeses. In 1948, they left Sicily to start new lives in America. By 1953, the family had founded the Calabro brand, delivering cheese, sausage, and ice cream to Italian grocers and families in Connecticut. Today, Calabro has grown their operations, distributing their cheeses to 27 states in the US.
