Bee’s Knees Honey and Apiary Supplies was originally established by Peter Whiddett in 2011, under the name Tarzali Honey. Peter built a strong, customer-focused clientele of North Queensland honey producers and beekeepers, supplying apiary equipment and bee-keeping advice and support from his Tarzali home shopfront.
In July 2023, Peter retired and sold the business to Emma and Glen Kraushaar, a young family living in Mareeba, North Queensland. Kraushaar’s built upon the established business infrastructure, continuing to serve the apiary industry, and expanding the enterprise with fresh enthusiasm and new product lines. The business was rebranded as Bee’s Knees Honey and Apiary Supplies in 2024, with a new logo and e-commerce website to facilitate online sales and support further afield.
